Mike Donahue is recognized for his knowledge of key industries and expertise in handling complex tax and financial issues. With his focus primarily on business advisory services for manufacturing and entrepreneurial R&D firms, Mike’s clients appreciate his commitment to their long-term relationship and his ability to understand the unique needs of their businesses. His representation of clients before Federal and state taxing authorities has helped establish the firm’s strong reputation.

As a founding partner of Ambrosi Donahue Congdon & Co., P.C., Mike’s early career found him focusing on small business needs with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Boston. Thirty years later, he has accumulated a wealth of experience – culminating in his recent efforts as external CFO and as an invaluable resource for mergers/acquisitions and corporate refinancings.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeastern University in 1970, and his Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley College in 1980. He earned his Massachusetts CPA certificate in 1974, and was admitted to practice in New Hampshire in 1975.

Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has devoted many hours to the Civil Air Patrol, and is a Mission/Check Pilot with the Beverly Squadron. Mike helped construct infrastructure improvements in East Africa as part of a Rotary International project, and is a member of Amesbury for Africa. He is also an Incorporator with the Newburyport Bank and Past Treasurer of the Amesbury Rotary Club.
