Niki LeMaitre, CPA
Niki manages corporate tax for ADC’s Government Contracting and R&D division, serving companies in the research and development space. Her focus has been on transforming how government funded, venture-backed, and early-stage commercial companies experience the tax process: making it understandable, predictable, and reliable for clients who already have enough complexity on their plates. Niki helps companies navigate tax complexities throughout the company life cycle from the moment of inception through commercialization. From the TCJA (Tax Cut and Jobs Act) to the OBBBA (One Big Beautiful Bill Act), Niki has the experience and expertise to help research companies understand, navigate, and deal with the current tax legislation changes minimizing the impact on start-up and research organizations.
Beyond corporate returns, Niki prepares research and development studies, helping clients capture the federal and state credits they have earned. For start-up research companies, getting these credits right can be the difference between a tight cash flow year and a workable one, and it is the kind of detail Niki is wired to get right.
Niki has been in accounting for over ten years, beginning in the private sector before moving to public practice at RSM, where she specialized in tax preparation, provisions, and planning for life science companies. That foundation in public accounting, paired with attention to detail and a real interest in the science her clients are working on, is what allows her to serve the technical client base she works with today.
